The immediate step within the cycle of auto shipping should be to alert our claims department within 24 hours of delivery. You don’t necessarily need to have all of the auto related information at hand to report the damage claim. Still, we need to have a record that the auto ship damage was reported within those first 24 hours after the auto delivery. Auto ship requires that you, however, must submit all documentation (BOL, before and after pictures, estimates for auto repair, etc.) within 72 hours of reporting the auto ship damage.
Please keep in mind, when doing auto transport, that damage claims can only be initiated once the car has been delivered. If you need to report damages about the auto shipment, you must do so during or after auto delivery. All auto ship damages must be documented on your bill of lading on delivery but not on pick up. You can report auto ship damage via email or phone or fill out the Auto Ship’s Damage Claim Report Form.
