Car Registration Procedure in Alaska

Registering Vehicle When Moving to Alaska:

Registering Active Duty Military Personnel Vehicles:

If you’re an active military personnel and want to register your new, used or out-of-state titled vehicles, then you have a slightly different process. Although this registration process applies to cars, UTVs, motor homes, trailers, Vans, and trucks, boats do not come under this registration process.

Also, as a non-resident of Alaska, you don’t have to transfer the registration or title to Alaska. You can retain the registration in the state of your residence as per the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA).
